I'm a lifelong apartment-dweller, but I'm always enchanted by porches. It seems that in this age of air-conditioning, people don't use them much anymore, but in my hypothetical-house-with-a-porch, I'd use mine all the time! (Ok, maybe not in December. I guess I'm already looking forward to summertime pursuits.)

Incidentally, this gorgeous, moorish-inspired one is not original to the house. Craftsmanship lives!
